Marine Reptiles
This week we will look at Marine Reptiles – marine iguanas, crocodiles and sea snakes. We will be examining some characteristics about how these animals survive living in the marine ecosystem. In particular, where are their salt glands for removing excess salt.
Next chapter is exclusively on Sea Turtle!
Shark Week!
This week we are studying Sharks. Anatomy, behavior and some species. Stingrays and skates too!
Fresh Fish!
The chapter on Marine Invertebrates is currently on hold and we are starting the chapter on Fish. This week will will study the external anatomy, internal adaptations as well as some facts on species like fluke and flounder, sea horses, sea robins, etc …

Just finished the chapter on the intro to Marine Biology including plants, sponges and Jellies. Quiz will be next week before spring break. Stay tuned.
New chapter starting this week: Marine Biology
This week we are starting a new workbook on Marine Biology. In this chapter we will take a look at some behavioral terms and then look at some groups of organisms. We will do marine plants, zooplankton, sponges and jellies.
Marine Ecology
This week we will be working on the Marine Ecology questions on page 15 in workbooks. Ocean zones, food webs and biodiversity, and symbiosis.
